Kadapa district is educationally a little disadvantaged as compared to more urban towns & cities. Particularly the children from government schools and aided schools do not have adequate funds. They are lacking in infrastructure and facilities. However, these children are bright and often secure very high percentage of marks in schools and colleges. They go on to obtain very good degrees in technical and non technical areas. However, they fail to secure employment due to lack of development of appropriate skills from a young age. Students from cities and urban areas OR more expensive private schools enjoy better facilities, infrastructure as well as IT education from a very young age. As a result, at the time of graduation, even though they are less qualified academically, they are more employable. They succeed in securing employment and also continue to progress in their careers. On the other hand the rural students secure good degrees with high percentages but remain unemployed and even if they secure employment, they fail to grow rapidly.

The economic growth in the country has resulted in a huge disparity of income distribution and wealth distribution as the benefits of growth did not percolate down to many levels. One of the root causes is job mobility. It is essential that we provide IT skills to the rural students from a very young age as they are required in all fields and make them more employable when they graduate. If we fail to provide such education now, in 10 years we will have a huge population that is educated but not employable. This frustrated and educated youth can cause social and political disharmony and chaos. The solution to this problem must be implemented now. We have to provide good education skills and more specifically IT education to the rural students from middle school level. As the world is shrinking and becoming flat, it is also becoming competitive. Countries will compete, States will compete and people will compete for same opportunities and jobs increasingly. If we develop our human resources and IT skills, the opportunities will come their way. If we fail to develop these skills more satisfactorily, then these opportunities and jobs will go elsewhere, more specifically to competing countries and competing cities.
